Rent a Car and Away You Go!

Sports car rental

Did you know that there are more than 5,100 car rental companies in the United States alone? These rental companies offer many different makes and models of cars for rent. There are exotic car rental options, sports car rental options, and luxury car rentals to boot. All of these options provide consumers with a sense of self determination in regards to the rental cars they drive.

You may not realize it, but how big or small your rental vehicle is can have a major impact on how much you will end up paying for it. Smaller cars tend to cost less, and bigger cars tend to cost more. This is true even when taking into account amenities such as DVD players and navigation systems. Small is cheaper when it comes to a rental car.

If you are going to rent a car, you should be prepared to have your driving record investigated. This allows the rental company to determine whether or not you, as a driver, are a liability. If you have had a speeding ticket, or one or two minor fender benders, you should not have anything to worry about in terms of being able to rent a car. Rental companies are more concerned about repeated and flagrant traffic violations, especially if they involve drugs or alcohol.

It is a common belief that in order to successfully rent a car, you must be at least 25 years of age. This is, however, not entirely true. Although certain car rental companies do enforce an age related restriction forbidding those under 25 from getting a rental car, other rental companies do not adhere to such policies, allowing for cars to be rented by people as young as 20 years of age. We just rented a car for our last vacation. It was a 2012 Town and Country minivan with wifi access, built in DVD player and screen, and a navigator. It was the most amazing car I have ever driven.

I love Chrysler Town and Country minivans! I have actually been pestering my husband to buy one because our old beater is on its last legs. Town and Country vans have the most comfortable seats ever.
